Blu Lyon releases new singles

Trinidadian dancehall artiste Blu Lyon has released four new singles in a bid to increase the promotion and awareness of his work.

The songs are Celestial Feelings, Bad, Summa Haat and Baewatch.

In a media release, Blu Lyon, who is the son of veteran soca artiste Super Blue and sister of soca star Fay Ann Lyons, spoke about each of the songs.

"Celestial Feelings is about the lovely effects of marijuana. Bad is the introduction of Blu Lyon that compares the type of person and artiste I am to those who are already out. It speaks very harshly about the concentration on gimmicks that outweighs the concentration on creativity and high quality of music.

Summa Haat is obviously a summer song and it just talks about the great things people love to do at that time. Baewatch is also a summer song but is specific to girls watching and finding a summer love," he said.

Blu Lyon has put himself on a very busy schedule to complete and release videos to accompany the songs.

"The Celestial Feelings video has been released, which I directed myself. Bad is directed by Roli Brown and is now being edited.

I am also directing Summa Haat which will be done soon, and I am working on a treatment for Baewatch," he said.

The artiste has been doing the media rounds in recent weeks and is planning to release a mix tape to coincide with the saturation of the music videos, to generate more interest.

'I have not taken a lot of bookings since the year started because of my dedication to getting my material done first," said Blu Lyon.
