Chemical X pleased with the reception of his new single

Dancehall artiste Chemical X is amped at the critical reception his latest single, 'Wet And Wild' is getting from disc jockeys and selectors.

"Everybody ah give me props on the song because of the lyrics and the flow. I put a lot of energy into this song and the effort is paying off. I am getting a buzz for the song in Brooklyn and Bronx, as well, as the song has made it on mixtapes over there," Chemical X said.

Disc jockeys from ZIP and HITZ have put the single in major rotation and text lines have been blowing up as listeners get a big high off Chemical X.

"The buzz is so good that, right now, mi a pree fi do a music video to push the song right into the summer," he said.

Chemical X first came on the scene with the breakout song, Ghetto Quality, which earned him major props as a promising rookie with an new-millennium flow. Established producers started sending beats his way, and he is looking forward to a busy summer.

Born in Kingston and raised in Portmore, Chemical X developed his love for music at a tender age. When he was six, he recorded his first song on a cassette tape Pan Di Ends. Growing up in Portmore, he attended Ascot High School.

In 2005, he migrated to the United States where he finished high school. Living in Brooklyn, New York, with his mother, Dautris Whyte, Kemar spent his days and nights practicing his music, almost never leaving the studio. He is musically influenced by Super Cat, Bob Marley, Sizzla, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.

In 2013, Chemical X recorded Ghetto Quality, under the One Shot Records label. He also shot a video for the so0ng.
