A 'Rumble in the Jungle' is anticipated when Arnett Gardens face off against Humble Lion in the first-leg semi-final of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) tomorrow at the Anthony Spaulding Complex at 6 p.m.

Arnett won the $1 million incentive for the team that ended the preliminary stage on most points and was the most consistent team all season.

Humble Lion came from second to last position to fourth place. The stage is well set for an explosive contest.

After 33 sets of games, Arnett had 66 points, Humble Lion 53.

In three previous meetings Arnett won the first 2-1 on November 30 at the Anthony Spaulding Complex; Humble Lion won 2-1 at their Effortville home base in Clarendon on February 9. The last clash ended 1-1 at Effortville on March 8.

Humble Lion's assistant coach Linval Wilson Sr says his team is well prepared for the challenge against the 'Junglists'.

"I expect a classy game. Arnett is the form team and they have a very experienced and tricky coach (Jerome Waite). He is one of those foxes," Wilson told STAR Sports yesterday.

"Where we are coming from, we have earned the cake. Now it's just to put the icing on the cake by winning the title," he said. "The management team led by the have given the necessary ammunition to win the title. We might not get another chance for now, so it is up to the players to go out there and get the job done," Wilson added.

Humble Lion have scored 41 goals and conceded 26. However, the goals have been shared among many players on the team. Francois Swaby, who transferred from relegated Sporting Central in January, has scored 11 goals, but five since coming to Humble Lion. Devon Hodges with seven, and Kemeel Wolfe and Jermain Christian six apiece have also weighed in.

"It is good that we have a spread of goalscorers. We have picked up the momentum in the last two rounds because the players have worked very hard," Wilson said.

Anticipates

Arnett Gardens coach, Jerome Waite, also anticipates a highly charged game in front of home support.

"The supporters can expect a good encounter. However, I expect us to step up and deliver at home," he said.

Arnett qualified early for the top four play-off which afforded Waite and his technical team a chance to rest several injured first team players.

"We have rested nine players. Now, they are ready to continue the journey to lift the Premier League trophy. Arnett has not lost a game at home in the Premier League this season, so we will be defending home turf," Waite, who guided the team to back-to-back title between 2000 to 2002, confidently said.

Arnett will rely on players such as captain Oneil Thompson, Dicoy Williams, Renae Lloyd, Marvin Morgan, Leon Strickland, and veterans Kevin Wilson and Cornel Chin-Sue.

The second semi-final will be played on Monday, between Waterhouse and Montego Bay United at Waterhouse Stadium, starting at 8:30 p.m.
