Lannaman's and Our Lady of the Angels Prep won their matches on Thursday at Melbourne Cricket Club in the Scotia Bank Prep School Cricket Competition after defeating Covenant Meadowbrook, respectively.

Lannaman, beat Covenant by 72 runs after being invited to bat by Covenant, who won the toss. Lannaman, made 170 for 6 in their 25 overs on the back of Domaine Hardy 19 and Gregory Williams 12. The wickets were shared among Gerol Moody 2 for 24 in 5 overs, Tafari William 2 for 32 in 5 overs and Timothy Hay who got 1 for 14 while the other wicket went by the way of run-out.

Covenant was all out for 98 in 16.3 overs when they batted. Gerol Moody was the only batsman to get into double figures. He made 11. The main run getter was Kevin Johnson who bagged 5 for 18 in just 3.3 overs.

In the other match, Our Lady of the Angels defeated Meadowbrook by 22 runs. Our Lady of the Angels won the toss and batted. They made 131 for 6 in their 20 overs (the overs were reduced by the umpires due to a late start). Mekali Gordon and Nicholas Whyte both top scored with 17 each. One wicket went by way of run out while the balance were shared among Joseph Cooper, Thamali Heywood, Joshua Ivy, Perri Young and Andre Wills who got one each.

When it was Meadowbrook's time to bat, they were all out for 109 in exactly 20 overs. Two players got into double figures. They were Thamali Heywood and Andre Wills, who both made 11.

Nicholas Whyte and Eacuan Forbes got three wickets each, while Juante Edwards and Mekali Gordon got two each.
