Dann-I mentors inmates at adult correctional centre |
|||||
![]() Contributed - Dann-I Days after releasing a triad of videos via VEVO, eclectic singer Dann-I and his management have teamed up with the St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre to lend their support to the rehabilitation programme at the facility. This is the singer's first time stepping into that realm despite being an advocate for socio-economically challenged youths throughout the years. As part of the program, the soulful singer took time out of his busy schedule to mentor and perform for inmates, who were very receptive to the Spanish Town native. "It is not every day that an opportunity is presented for us, as artistes, to interact with those incarcerated, hence, when we are given the chance to do so, it is important that a positive impact is imparted to uplift these individuals," Dann-I said. Similar sentiments were echoed by his manager, Ronald 'Sonny Spoon' Wright, who stated, "When we were asked to do this by the Prison officials, we were very pleased and wasted no time in accepting the challenge, as this is essentially what we are about. Helping our youths, by giving back to society through various programs." Dann-I also took time out for photo-ops with several officials at the facility prior to his departure. Ahead of an assignment in Brooklyn, New York, Dann-I is assiduously preparing to roll out an aggressive campaign for his single, Time Nuh Wait, produced by Sons of Spoon Records. The single is available on iTunes and other digital platforms.
