![]() Raps, sings and deejays on new track Pushing the envelope yet again, Lady Saw has through show her versatility on her brand-new track, 'Tonight'. Her hard-core dancehall lyrics and style is what she has come to be known for, but she has successfully crossed over into rap on this track, riding the rhythm like the professional artiste she is. With everyone in the dancehall fraternity jostling for a standout position, Lady Saw's smooth and seemingly effortless approach demonstrates why she stands tall above the rest and dominates the Jamaican scene. The queen has teamed up with Mr Magik from Black Magik Entertainment for Tonight, an adoption of Betty Wright's Tonight is the Night. On the track, she not only sings and deejays but also raps - a combination which is unique to this landscape. There seems to be no limit to the talents Lady Saw possesses. In the single, the sultry artiste expresses her feelings about that special man in her life and how he will make her feel "Tonight is the night that you make me your woman, you said you would be gentle with me and I hope you will." Mr Magik said he and the queen of the dancehall were striving for perfection on the track, which was released last Thursday. "I found working with Lady Saw very challenging. however, that is because we both strive for perfection in our different ways. Tonight is the perfect result of two perfectionists striving for perfection," said producer Mr Magik. The song has been tearing up the airwaves since it premiered on radio stations locally, Newstalk 93FM, Zip 103FM and A video is to be recorded and released in short order for the track which, it is hoped, will follow in Saw's Heels On
success. |
