Bail extension for cashier accused of larceny

A St Catherine woman, who allegedly stole more than $300,000 from her employer, had her bail extended when she appeared in the Linstead Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Moyo Blake, 23-year-old cashier of Linstead, St Catherine, is charged with larceny.

When the matter was mentioned on April 29, Blake's bail was extended until June 6.

The court was told that when arrested she said "officer a my fault, mi ago pay it back" to the complainant.

Allegations are that the accused was employed as a cashier in Treadways district, St Catherine.

During the period of March 8, to March 21, she reportedly failed to hand over $304,680 to her employer.

An investigation was launched which resulted in Blake being charged with larceny.

Presiding Resident Magistrate was Horace Mitchell.
