Registrar of the Office of the Children's Registry, Greg Smith, says the video of the child being circulated on Facebook gyrating to dancehall and in the process being handed small sums of Jamaican dollars has negative implications for her behaviour in the future.

"We want to encourage all adults really not to promote immoral activities because it does have implications on the attitudes and behaviours of our children. In general, anything that is immoral or illegal, anything that is not fitting in the best interest of our children to promote them educationally and spiritually would have some negative implications on their behaviours and attitudes," Smith said, adding that he had not seen the video himself.

He further added that this may have some further spin off especially in light of what is currently happening with the nation's children.

In the four minutes and 20 seconds reel, which has garnered more than 500,000 views on a Nigerian news platform, the young girl, which has been accused of being a whore, can be seen whining to Spice and Pamputtae's Fluffy Gyal vs Slim Gyal, Kalado's Personally, Mr Vegas' Bruk it Down and Demarco's Puppy Tail. She is later joined by a smaller child towards the end of the video.

Racking up several comments below it, persons expressed disappointment at the sight of the child's action while others thought it was acceptable.

"Lord, help our children," said Colleen Gordon.

Neko Nicole stated, "I am wondering how this is acceptable. Especially in these times when perverts and sickos are roaming rampant and dem dutty man dem nuh have nuh soul. Unacceptable".

Mamoy Baker thought it to be an art. "Dancing is an art. And she has talent. Please look up the definition of whore and stop being ignorant to belittle others. Dancing is our culture but there should be limits. I don't agree with the outrageous behaviour, but I disagree with the way you express it, calling her a whore".
