... following tussle with police officers The popularity of rising dancehall star Louis 'Dexta Daps' Grandison may have taken a shot in the arm following a tussle he had with police officers at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. Multiple videos of the incident went viral on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. New York concert promoter Bobby Clarke of the annual Oracabessa Festival, where Daps is advertised as one of the headliner performers, said his radio station has received several calls about the artiste since the incident. FAN CALLS "We have been inundated with several telephone calls from fans of the singjay, who were concerned and wanted to get more information that the artiste is doing fine," Clarke said. "Our first concern is about the well-being of the artiste. We made contact with his management team and was told he is ok, which we are happy about. Daps will perform at the Oracabessa Festival Arguably one of the hottest dancehall acts on the circuit now, the singjay announced his presence to the music world last year with his dancehall anthem 7eleven. He is
riding the crest of popularity with Jealous Ova with Tifa. The song has racked up thousands of hits on YouTube and is extremely popular in Jamaica and across the rest of the Caribbean. |
