CURTIS CAMPBELL, STAR Writer Brian 'Ribbie' Chung could hardly have wished for a better birthday bash than his most recent - celebrated Thursday night at Ribbiz Bar and Lounge in Barbican Square's Acropolis. The event, once again, drew a massive audience, similar to that of last year, and was attended by several friends of the jovial promoter, who simply refused to allow any room for boredom. Ribbie Chung's birthday bash not only delivered inclusive food and premium liquor, but also diverse music. The DJs avoided explicit content. However, dancehall, reggae, soca and pop music had patrons dancing for the entire duration of the event. The event was supported by J Wray and Nephew. The man of the night was spotted making rounds through the venue, interacting with his supporters, sporting a rather colourful hairstyle. He told The WEEKEND STAR that he felt blessed. "Birthdays are once a year and being in the entertainment business you have to be able to change with time. It's my birthday so I decided to be different, so that explains my hairstyle tonight," he laughed. "The vibe is epic and it's all about family and friends. I like being around people and I guess that has made me who I am today, so I have to respect people," he told The WEEKEND STAR. The cakes as well as the spirits were provided by Appleton. Pietro Gramegna (left) marketing manager for White Spirits at J Wray and Nephew Ltd., wishes Brian 'Ribbie' Chung Happy Birthday. The birthday bash was held at Ribbiz Bar and Lounge in St Andrew. |
