J'can comics to perform at International Feast of Laughter

After turning on the laughs at LIME Comedy Café on Wednesday, Jamaican comedy heavyweights Tony 'Paleface' Hendriks and Ity & Fancy Cat headed up North the following day, as the featured acts set to deliver 'yard-style' fun and levity at the 'International Feast of Laughter' comedy show scheduled for Saturday in Toronto, Canada.

They will be joined by veteran comic, storyteller and theatre stalwart from Trinidad and Tobago, Rhoma Spencer, as well as renowned Jamaican-Canadian, actress and producer Marcia Brown. 'Pinky and Chrisy', a brand new Toronto-based Jamaican comedy duo will also make their debut appearance at the show.

Blakka Ellis will play host, and adding the spice of variety to the evening will be exciting musical entertainment by new teenaged vocal group Trilogi.

Produced by Kinteet Kompini and Leggy's Catering, the 'International Feast of Laughter' is an event dedicated to showcasing colourful and diverse comedic entertainment in Canada, with a distinct Caribbean flavour.

This weekend's edition is the third in the annual series and takes place at the popular Jamaican Canadian Association in Toronto. An afterparty follows at the same venue, featuring musical selections by top Toronto disc jock DJ Corey. Drinks and Jamaican delicacies are on sale.
