50 Cent to do US$500,000-performance

50 Cent is to be paid US$500,000 to perform in Las Vegas over the weekend of the Floyd 'Money' Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao fight.

According to TMZ.com, the rapper is going to earn the huge sum to take to the stage at nightclub Drai's tonight, the day before the big world championship boxing bout.

The gig is not 50 Cent's only impending big pay day. The hip hop star has also reportedly negotiated a deal with Effen Vodka to bank US$500,000 for a performance at a 'Pool After Dark' party in Atlantic City later in May.

Perhaps the rap superstar is trying to cover his massive wager on Mayweather, in case the undefeated pugilist records his first loss against 'Pacman' Pacquiao.

50 Cent has bet $1.6 million on a Mayweather's victory in the bout, which is being dubbed the biggest fight of the 21st century.

The odds on Mayweather currently makes him a 8/15 favourite. But the In da Club hitmaker is confident of seeing a return on his massive wager, recently saying: "Champ (is) gonna smoke him. It's gonna look like it was pumped up for no reason."
