Caribbean Rockaz Entertainment signs first act

Businessman Rohan Silvera has joined forces with marketing expert Tyehimba Kafele and veteran musician/ producer Clive Hunt to form Caribbean Rockaz Entertainment. The entity will function as a full-service record company that will operating at international standards.

Caribbean Rockaz Entertainment plans to build successful careers for artistes by professionally guiding them in all areas of the music business, including artiste management, music production, publishing, marketing, branding and merchandising.

"We plan to bring something different to the local music industry, in terms how we operate. We intend to operate at the highest international standards. Too many people in the local industry choose to neglect certain important aspects of the music business that are vital to the development of successful and sustainable careers for the artistes they represent. Caribbean Rockaz in here to make a difference," said the company's marketing director, Tyehimba Kafele.

The first act to be signed to the Caribbean Rockaz Entertainment roster is a talented group from Spanish Town, Rockaz Elements. The core members of the group are siblings, I-Talented (Alex Taffe) I-Gifted (Ainsworth Taffe) and their childhood friend, Unbroken Element (Raymond Dawkins).

Caribbean Rockaz Entertainment will host an official media launch today at Triple Century Sports Bar in New Kingston.

The launch will begin at 8 p.m. and will feature a live performance by Rockaz Elements as well as screening of the video for the band's debut single, Always Be Burning.
