Da Professor encourages fathers to 'Mind Yu Youth' |

![]() Da Professor - Contributed Spiky Music Group recording artiste Da Professor has released a new hard-hitting single, 'Mind Yu Youth', to encourage deadbeat dads to help take care of their children. "This is an important social issue, especially in Jamaica, where most children are raised by single moms, and where gangs often substitute for the lack of a father figure at home. excellent rotation on Irie, Zip and Hitz FM. "Mi just want to big up all the disc jockeys dem who ah show support to the single and ah get this important message out," said Da Professor, who was the lead singer for the internationally acclaimed Inner Circle band for over three years. Da Professor is equally adept at dancehall as he is with
reggae, and has carved out a reputation in dancehall circles for his lyrical prowess, new millennium flow and witty lyrics. In the meantime, he is getting a great buzz stateside with his single, I Love Myself. The single has been getting a major push on FM radio stations in the USA. I Love Myself is the first single of the trilogy release, which will be followed by Anything is Possible and Rock Star. The single and music video were released on February 14. The video has already racked up more than 150,000 views on YouTube. The single is also an anthem for Stop the Abuse Foundation founded by Spiky, Da Professor and NFL player, Terry Kirby, who played 11 seasons for the 49ers, Raiders, Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns. |
