International recording artiste Tasha T is moving full speed ahead with her career.

The Canadian reggae singer, who was nominated in the Best Reggae Recording category of the 2015 Juno Awards earlier this year, was recently in the island to promote the video for her single, Bed of Fire, and work on a number of new projects.

"I recently visited Jamaica to record some tracks for an upcoming album project. I also made an appearance on HYPE TV to promote the video for Bed of Fire," she revealed.

Tasha T also performed on the Portland leg of the Blakkout Tour, which was held at the Echo Nightclub.

"I had a wonderful time performing in Portland, the people gave me an awesome reception. It was a great experience, they loved every minute of my performance,"she said.

Tasha T is currently on the US leg of her North American tour. So far, she has completed a number of dates in New York and Texas. She is slated to return to Jamaica early next month to participate in the Read Across Jamaica School Tour.

"This project is very near and dear to my heart, because it helps so many children in Jamaica by encouraging them to read and improve their literacy," she said.

When Tasha T wraps up her trip to Jamaica in May, she will return to Canada for a number of gigs before going back to the US where she is scheduled to perform at events in Florida, Atlanta, New York and Rhode Island.
