Kray-Z is thrilled to announce the release of the video for his new single entitled 'Food pon di Table'. The video was shot and directed by Shortfilmz Jamaica from his soon-to-be-released EP dubbed Fully Charge. The video can be seen on local stations and is creating a buzz for the dynamic young star. Food pon di Table is not your typical dancehall song as it combines a conscious message with a fresh sound laid over an uptempo dancehall beat courtesy of G3Musik. The lyrics of the song touch on a relatable topic, the issue of surviving in the harsh economic climate being faced here in Jamaica and the everyday struggles faced by many persons to literally put Food pon di Table. All this can be seen in the storyline of the video, which showcases a young father facing hardships and the negative choices which young men are sometimes pushed to make in these dire circumstances. Kray-Z, while not yet a household name, is not new to the dancehall scene and has worked with a handful of industry veterans such as producers Willy Chin from the Black Chiney sound, Jeremy Harding of 2Hard studios and more recently Markhize of Subkonshus Music just to name a few. "I didn't release much music in 2014 as I was working on my sound and trying to master my craft. I definitely feeling positive about the body of work I recorded thus far and now we're going all out! As the EP say wi Fully Charged!" he said. |
