A miracle-working God

Reverend Ransford Hendricks - George Henry

GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer

NAME: Ransford Hendricks

CHURCH: Miracle Ministries Church, Christiana, Manchester.

POSITION: Pastor.

SAVED: I have been saved since 1960 and have been a full-time minister since 1971.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOMENT OF CONVICTION: It was not during a service of any sort. I was at the time about 16 years of age and was studying for the Jamaica Local Examination. I was in an abandoned building where I usually study with friends. About 2 o'clock one evening, there were two girls who were part of a group of us singing.

During the singing of a song, the Spirit of the Lord began to speak to me, just like that. I felt like my heart was melting, tears were flowing inward and I felt the Lord just wanted to pull me into a relationship with him. I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit, so I tried to disguise myself by trying to move away from the group to about two chains away.

A young lady who came looking for me just thought that something was happening to me in the Spirit world. She found me crying and led me back to the group. I was prayed for while I closed my eyes. I knew she prayed.

I trusted God just like that. God just moved on me from that day. I went home and started to write handwritten tracts, and took them back to my school friends the following day. God just moved on me from then.

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT SINCE BEING SAVED: My most challenging moment since being saved is being betrayed by my own people.

MOST MIRACULOUS MOMENT SINCE BEING SAVED: I was healed by God from an illness I had. I was taking 13 tablets every day. five doctors told me I would have been on the medication for the illness for the rest of my life. I came off the tablets within a reasonable period and, up until this day, I have never taken one tablet for the illness.

MESSAGE TO CHRISTIANS: I want to say to Christians, don't give up on the Lord, and don't give in to discouragement. The arms of flesh will fail you, but Jesus never fails. Go forward as is stated in Exodus 14: 15.

MESSAGE TO NON-CHRISTIANS: Seek ye the Lord while He may be found.

FAVOURITE BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Exodus 14: 15

A LINE FROM YOUR FAVOURITE SONG:'The God of the mountain is the God in the valley, the God of the day is the God in the night.'
