Big things for Sophia Brown

Sultry lovers rock singer Sophia Brown, who delivered a short but scintillating performance at the 2015 Rebel Salute in Richmond, St Ann, has a busy work schedule for the rest of 2015.

She is working on tracks for her soon-to-be released album and will make the trek to Connecticut in May to headline an event billed 'Sophia Brown In Concert' that takes place on Friday, May 8 at the West Indian Social Club, Hartford.

The Dream Team Entertainment event will also feature opening acts Addi Wallace and Soulworks backed by Amandla reggae band. Two days later, she will be a performer/presenter at the 6th annual Linkage Awards where we she won a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' last year.

The Gimme That Good Love singer then returns home to begin preparing for summer tours in USA and Europe.

"I am really excited to perform at these two tri-state area events. I have been doing lots of interviews and looking forward to a weekend of great performances" Brown said.

Brown's R&B flavoured single Rain Over Me made it to the #3 spot on the New Style Radio, 98.7 FM chart in Birmingham, England, and also made it in the Star Top Ten chart in New York earlier this year. She also inked a one-year deal with Entertainment Works, a Belgium-based agency that coordinates client bookings, provides management, marketing and publicity services to recording and performing artistes in Europe, Africa, United States and the Middle East.

Entertainment Works clients include Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Bernie Worrell, Errol Blackwood (founder and formerly the lead vocalist/bass player of Canadian reggae band Messenjah); Aaron Silk; Tony Anthony and Triston Palmer among others.
