Ifertari to debut 'Learning Process'
p>Music mirrors life in that it is a 'learning process' with hard and fast rules -Just ask Jace Records' recording artiste Ifertari, who will be launching her debut album, Learning Process, at the Gentry Lounge today.

"My life has been a learning process. The singles reflect that central theme, every song on the album shows my growth through my various experiences as an adult, a singer, a lover and a mother," she said.

The perky Rastafarian singer is confident that her new album will set the reggae world on fire.

"The album will be released digitally in June but the physical copies will be available a few weeks after the album launch," she said.

The lead single, Morning Evening, was released in the second week of April, to coincide with release of a video for the project.

"I worked with a lot of European producers such as Afro Dread FM, a reggae station in Netherlands, and also American producers John Hope and Sean Cassell. Jace Records has produced two singles and Producer Stulla has three singles," she said.

She will be performing at the album launch with a live band, Gnostic Roots band.

"Look out, Jamaica, here I come," she said. Ifertari, whose given name is Sashanna Hunter, migrated to the USA from the Waltham Park area of Kingston at age 12. She returned to Jamaica two years ago to pursue music.
