MAJOR FESTIVALS COURT KEZNAMDI

Critically acclaimed performances on the Dread and Terrible US West Coast Tour and the Earth Hour Concert in Kingston have seen a spike in radio play and social media traffic for reggae artiste Keznamdi.

The 23-year-old reggae crooner has now been added to two prestigious music festivals in the US. He is one of only two reggae acts for this year's staging of the UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on April 25, which is being headlined by rap superstar Wale.

Keznamdi will also be appearing in Miami for The Best of the Best Concert, Memorial Day Weekend. Both festivals are known to feature top-tier performers in reggae and urban music, pulling upwards of 25,000 people.

"It's an honour to be considered for these huge festivals, and it motivates me to work even harder," he said.

"I'm just ready to perform and share great music with the world."

Keznamdi, who has also been busy in the studio working on several music projects, is gearing up for his next release, 10 Pound, which is being "exported" on April 20, the day when ganja-lovers worldwide celebrate the sacred plant's consumption.

"We have a very exciting premiere already confirmed for 10 Pound's release on 4/20," adds manager Matthew Lawrence.

Keznamdi's introduction to the music industry came after thereleaseof his Bridging the Gap EP in April 2013, which peaked at number four on the iTunes reggae charts and number 10 on the Billboard Reggae Album Charts.
