Bus conductor charged for murder

The bus conductor who was implicated in the death of 14-year-old Kayalicia Simpson has been formally charged with murder by the St Thomas police on Wednesday.

He is 29-year-old Damion Ewin of Newland Housing Scheme in Yallahs. Ewin has also been charged with committing sexual offences in the same matter.

On Tuesday, March 3, relatives found the girl's body and summoned the police. She was found with multiple chop wounds to the head and neck.

The post-mortem examination revealed that Kaylacia was pregnant. She was a student of the Donald Quarrie High School in Kingston.

Ewin will appear before the Yallahs Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, April, 15.
