Police said a boy found wandering at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston on Wednesday is a ward of the state.

Eleven-year-old Jevon Thompson, who gave his particulars as eight-year-old Kevin Washington of Miami, United States of America, is a ward at Reddie's Place of Safety in Kingston 2.

Reports are that about 12:55 p.m., Jevon was found wandering at the airport. He subsequently reported that his parents were waiting for their departure to Miami, when he went to use the bathroom and upon his return, they were not there.

Checks by the police revealed that Jevon went missing on multiple occasions and was placed at the facility in September, 2014. He was taken by the police to the home yesterday.
