St James men on murder rap get bail extension |

WESTERN BUREAU: Three St James men, who were arrested and charged in connection with the December 2014 shooting death of Melbourne 'Bernie' Plummer, had their bails extended until May 26, following their appearance before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court recently. Brandon Stora, André Simpson and Prince Marson are charged with the murder of Plummer, who was residing in Glendevon, in the parish, at the time of his death. It is alleged that, on December 31, 2014, Plummer had made arrangements to have his hair done at a barbershop. During that errand, he was shot by unknown assailants and later pronounced dead at hospital. investigations Stora, Simpson and Marston were subsequently arrested and charged, following police investigations. Clerk of the court Natalie Malcolm told presiding magistrate Carolyn Tie that a number of documents were still outstanding from the prosecution's case file. "In this matter, the post-mortem, ballistic and scene-of-crime reports are outstanding," said Malcolm. "Out of an abundance of caution, I will set the matter for May 26," said RM Tie.
