Star Tell Me Pastor

should I forgive him?

Dear Pastor,

I am 22 years old and I am still a virgin. I met a guy in December. I thought he was a gentleman so I went out with him on New Year's evening. I am a Christian so I told him that I would have to go to church and after that we can go out. he agreed. Some of my friends were going to hang out together until the early hours of the morning so I asked them if I could bring a male friend and they said yes. We ate and drank and listened to good music.

About three o'clock, I told my friend that he could drop me home. He said that it was early so we could go to his place. I told him no. We got into his car and he drove around and drove around talking, trying to convince me that I could trust him. And the more he talked was the more I remembered what my father told me, how to protect myself from a man. While he was driving, I pulled the emergency up and started to blow the car horn. He asked me if I was crazy and I said, "No, but you are crazy". He dropped me home and called and apologised the following day.

Now he is asking me to go out with him again and for us to make up. Pastor, what do you think I should do? I did not tell my parents about the incident.

E.D

Dear E.D.,

Tell this man to get lost. Tell him that, if he were the only man in the world, you wouldn't want him. Don't even keep him as a social friend. Congratulations for using your head. I am sure that at that time the morning was still and a motor car horn would alert people that something was wrong. You are a wise young woman.

Pastor
