Just imagine; you're driving along the road on your way to conduct business, and suddenly out of nowhere, the pesky check engine dashboard warning light makes an unexpected and unwelcome appearance. You've pulled over, and immediately you turn the engine off so as to avoid any potential damage. Oh no, what is it now? You soon discover that your engine is low on oil. Not to worry, Grab 'N' Go Auto Parts, the auto parts business on wheels will come to the rescue.

This is one such instance Navardo 'R-Kelly' Peat, 33, related to THE STAR, outlining how he has assisted a motorist in distress with his innovative mobile auto parts business.

"A motorist, he came driving pass, and him oil light just flash up in front a him. Him say him check him oil inna the morning and him never remember fi cover him oil cover back. And him drive and di oil that was in there flash out, same time him a pass and him just see me and come and get him four bottle of oil. Him really thank me," a proud Peat said.

He related several more stories to THE STAR, outlining the misfortunes of several motorists he has assisted on a daily basis.

"Is a mobile auto store, Grab 'N' Go. I have been operating this for about 8 months now. I go around town, but most likely I deh here on Chancery Street. You can find me anywhere from Red Hills, Chancery Street, or Half-Way Tree," he said.

He shared with THE STAR that he was forced to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions, after an unfortunate incident he says he had with members of the protective forces.

"I was a mechanic, and I used to run taxi. Police run me down and beat me up and buss up all mi head and all dem thing deh," Peat explained.

It was shortly after that incident Peat had a light bulb moment.

"True round here so kinda busy, bus and everybody round here so and nuh auto parts place nuh round here so. A long time mi have it in mind still, but because, yu know when yu a do yu little taxi - if something nuh happen, yu nuh move same time," Peat explained.

A resourceful Peat decided that it was time to go into business for himself. He converted the same Toyota Corolla motorcar he previously used as a taxi, to that of his mobile auto parts shop. He set off to stock it with essential service parts ranging from engine oil, oil filters, spark plugs, air filters, to miscellaneous front-end parts for varying vehicles.

"We giving thanks yu nuh, it is not as fast as I would expect, but, once mi have the things dem weh the people dem want, it would be faster. Because it is a small unit now, mi just have basic items that can just sell and buy back mi stock dem and buy mi gas," Peat enlightened.

Looking towards the future, Peat said that he plans to get a larger vehicle so he can stock a wider array of auto parts, so as to expand his business. He explained that he is not opposed to establishing a traditional brick-and-mortar business, but hopes to maintain his competitive edge with his mobile auto parts venture.

"I find out that this is convenient because some of the time, people don't really like the long line fi go inna parts place fi get one bottle of oil, yu understand?" he said. "I plan to get a place, as you can see, around here would be ideal, but there is no vacancy around here at this time," Peat said.

Further affirming his enthusiasm for his new venture, Peat sang its praises.

"If you are at home and you need two bottles of oil, you can call Grab 'N' Go and two bottle of oil reach you," a smiling Peat told THE STAR. "I am an entrepreneur, I like that. I like to try new things. The only problem is that KSAC come here more time and say mi can't stay here, but yu see because mi mobile, I'm not stationed," he said.
