Doubtful!

Man claims he goes abroad and girlfriend pregnant upon return

Andre' Williams, STAR Writer

The doubt surrounding the paternity of one of two children born to 22-year-old Mona Reid and 46-year-old Clive Rodgers is about to be revealed.

The two are the March winners in THE STAR'sPaternity Puzzle feature for the story, "Man Seeks DNA for 2-year-old ... claims child's head isn't shaped like his".

Reid is in a relationship with Rodgers. She is pregnant with her second child and says Rodgers is the father.

However, Rodgers says if the two-year-old in question is not his child, then he is excluding himself as a figure in Reid's current pregnancy.

When contacted by THE STAR that they were winners of a free paternity test, both Reid and Rodgers were happy.

Rodgers: "Mi feel good to know."

Reid: "I am thankful, and mi feel alright about it."

The two also told THE STAR that they stood by all that was discussed in their first interview.

When asked if things were working out since the last interview,

Reid: "It's been alright."

Rodgers: "It's been up and down."

The two are still an item even though a cloud of confusion and uncertainty hangs over their relationship.

Previously, when asked what they wanted the results to be:

Rodgers: "Positive on my side."

Reid: "Positive."

THE STAR was told that the child is registered in Rodgers' name. However, Reid ripped the birth certificate to pieces during an argument with Rodgers, over the paternity of the child.

According to the couple, lies dominate why doubts exist about the two-year-old child:

Rodgers: "She say she sleep with this youth before me; she lie and then she confessed. She say di condom burst when she sleep wid him, now when mi go Japan for a few months and come back, mi hear seh she pregnant with another child.

"Mi check the timing and it nah add up. People a laugh after me, dem say mi a idiot."

Reid: "I don't have any doubts seh a him - people have doubts - him mek dem a tell him things.

"Yes, the condom did burst, but me and di guy went to the pharmacy and buy the morning after pill and I took dem in front of him. Dat a long, long before me get pregnant."
