Patrons get wet and wild at Downtown Carnival |
|||||
![]() Patrons dancing the night away. - Contributed photosDowntown Carnival Wet and Wild lived up to its name as patrons present at Skateland on Windward Road, Kingston, were treated to unadulterated 'wet and wild' fun. The Digicel music truck led the charge, providing music selected by DJ Cuteye and hype-man Rambo. The Digicel and Magnum dancers started the party with an intense dance-off. They went toe-to-toe, showcasing their best dance moves to a selection of soca and dancehall hits. Patrons also joined in turning the party into a real dancing fête. Meanwhile, other persons could be seen getting wild in the foam pit in the water section of the venue. It was then time for Eskay sound and DJ Fashion to take over the turntables. The audience seemed not to be bothered by the change in selectors as they continued dancing throughout the night. In addition to great vibes, patrons were also treated to Magnum bucket deals and giveaways of phones, call credit and rum mugs by Digicel. The party is the second of four lead-up events in the Downtown Carnival series. The series will continue on March 22 at the Sabina Park car park, where the Reggae Soca Invasion fête will take place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Downtown Carnival ends with the grand parade through the streets of downtown Kingston on Easter Monday.
