A sea of pure white illuminated D'Clubhouse in Stony Hill last Saturday night for the eighth edition of the annual BloodStain Entertainment Anniversary and Hundred's Birthday Bash, titled 'Good Life'.

Patrons rolled out, decked in their finest fashions to indulge in the highly anticipated event. Sponsored by Boom, Magnum Tonic Wine and Dacosta's Trading, people relished in the wide array of mixes at the bar.

Redd Heat kicked things off and turned up the heat with exciting songs from yesteryear. They were followed by veteran sound, The Immortal Stone Love. Billy Slaughter had patrons singing along to songs such as Lioness is on the Rise by Queen Ifrika, Dry Cry by Sizzla, Saddest Day of My Life by Wayne Wonder and Groovy Little Thing by Beres Hammond. They then segued into R&B hits such as Robin Thicke's Lost Without Youand Nelly and Kelly's Dilemma.

By then, the venue was almost filled to capacity. Females sashayed in the latest fashions, some befitting a wedding. Some were a bit risqué, leaving little to the imagination, much to the delight of the male patrons. While the men listened intently and acted accordingly to the latest dancehall mix, including Kartel's Best Friend, Popcaan's Dream and Beenie Man's Eva Clean, the ladies were spotted engaging in the video light. Some took the opportunity to big up their stylists, others paraded their spouses, making Kodak moments out of kissy faces for cameras to capture.

The threat of daylight did little to dampen their spirits. In fact, more patrons began streaming in. With dancehall hits such as Dexta Daps' 7/11 getting patrons in a frenzy, there was hardly enough room for the females, who were ready to get on bad with their male counterparts.

Surprise guest selectors Tony Matterhorn and Foota Hype turned things up with an energetic set that had the ladies in particular reeling with enjoyment and ensured that they went home satisfied. The duo took the juggling offshore at one point, providing a string of hits glorifying Brooklyn, New York.

Matterhorn got huge forwards whenever he chanted arguments in defence of the ladies. He could do no wrong even as he switched genres.

ZJ Ice, having performed at Good Life over five times to date, kept the momentum going in similar fashion. He juggled hit after hit, even utilising the microphone himself to huge forwards.

DJ Shawn and Specialist also gave a good showing and capitalised on bonus through regular 'money pull-ups'.

The excitement continued well into the morning, when patrons finally decided to leave the venue after a night of living the 'good life'.
