Dimon Treajah scores with 'Wifey Compliment'

Deejay Dimon Treajah has scored a hit with his latest single, 'Wifey Compliment', produced by Troyton Music.

Featured on the popular 'Intoxxicated' rhythm, Wifey Compliment has been gaining buzz locally and overseas. It is also in heavy rotation in New York on Irie Jam Radio and among selections on Jabba's reggae show on Hot 97.

Wifey Compliment is making its way up local music charts. It is the follow-up to Treajah's previous single, Get Gal Everyday.

The artiste said he brings versatility and a unique sound to dancehall. He is originally from Seaview Gardens, St Andrew.

He moved to Portmore at age 10 and migrated to the United States at 15.

"When I moved to America, I lived in Miami for a couple of months, and then moved to Queens, New York, where I lived for many years," he said.

Dimon Treajah moved back to Jamaica because he wanted to promote his music at the heart of reggae and dancehall.

Born Sadiki Powell, his passion and talent for music developed while performing at neighbourhood events in Seaview Gardens.

He quickly became known as the community's youngest singjay.

Dimon Treajah will be in action on March 27 at Stone Love's Dung Inna Di Ghetto, Barry Street, downtown Kingston.

He is also booked for Summer Rage in Portland, August 8; Loyalty Ova Money, April 4, at Bamboo Lawn, Kingston 13, and Chocolate Bunnies, April 3, at Margaritaville, Ocho Rios.
