It was the second stop for the event, which is set to run for eight consecutive Fridays going into the carnival season and happening in different towns each weekend.

It was pure fun and excitement for the hundreds of persons who packed into the venue to be entertained by hosts ZJ Sparks and Miss Kitty, along with DJ Smoke from Renaissance, whose mix of soca, dancehall and hip hop kept the vibes flowing.

Patrons were treated to free Digicel credit with the purchase of two 'Q's' of Appleton rum, free cell phones, among other goodies.

Marketing manager for Dark Spirits at J Wray & Nephew, Tamika West, was pleased with the event. "Tonight we are here having an amazing time bringing carnival to the people across Jamaica, it's such an amazing experience," West said.

She said the idea behind the series was to bring carnival to people all across the island.

"This is carnival. We represent carnival. Not everybody can afford to be a part of carnival in Kingston so we're taking it on tour across the island, showing them the best of what this culture has to offer."

The next stop for Carnival Pon Di Road is Water Square in Falmouth, Trelawny.
