Ricky Flex tackles carnal abuse |

It is very rare when a young artiste touches on a sensitive topic that is affecting society. However, Kidamawi Entertainment recording artiste Ricky Flex has done just that with the release of his single She's Just 13. The track highlights the issues surrounding teenage pregnancy and carnal abuse in Jamaica. The singjay, who is a father of four, including a daughter, believes much more can be done to protect little girls and teenagers from sexual predators. "I think the authorities can do more to protect little girls of this country from sexual predators. Something has to be done, because this situation is getting out of control," he said. The thought-provoking single, produced by Smokey & Kidamawi Entertainment, has enjoyed strong rotation on top local radio stations since its release last November. Ricky Flex and his management team are currently preparing to shoot the video for She's Just 13. "We are scouting locations for the video shoot. We want to make a very good video for the song, so we have hired a very professional team of people to make it possible. The video will be shot and ready for release before the end of March," the artiste said. Also on the table for Ricky Flex is the release of his debut album, Life Is Not A Bed Of Rose, which is slated to be released later this year. |
