Davina Henry, Staff Reporter Though Global Bob and Dancer Bling opened the show with an energetic performance, the 10 contestants vying for the last two spots in the Charles Chocolate Dancin' Dynamites failed to keep the energy going. The final elimination show took place at the Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts and though they tried their best, the groups fell short. The first team to take the stage was Team Vendetta. They earned a few forwards from the audience, but judge Kerry-Ann Henry noted that they need to watch their lines and clean up the choreography. They made way for Breezy Sqaud, who failed to impress both the audience and the judges. "It never connect at all. It was messy," Orville Hall stated. Henry agreed, adding that while it had some interesting elements, the overall delivery was not up to par. The choreography earned a five out of 10 from Hall and a four out of 10 from Henry. There was pandemonium when host Jenny Jenny introduced the group Straight Edge. Dressed in their leopard and black jackets, the group delivered an almost flawless routine. This earned the admiration of the judges. "The costumes were nice and the ending was fantastic. Good concept," Henry said, before announcing a nine out of 10 score. This score was echoed by Orville Hall, much to the delight of the audience. The St Andrew Technical High School group had several comedic elements in their routine, but they did not connect with the audience. This led to them receiving the lowest score of the night. "You started out alright but it got progressively worse. You need a lot of work," Hall said before giving them a four. Henry, on the other hand, was not so generous and gave them a three. Up next was Problem Squad, who fared a little better with the judges. Dancing to hits such as Suit and Tie by Justin Timberlake and Morning Love by Dexta Daps, they were commended by Hall for their choreography. The highest score of the night was awarded to Dominant Nation. Judge Orville Hall commended them on their fierceness and energy level. He walked to the front of the stage, which signalled a score of 10. "When I say 'Tun Up' you say 'till it bun up", Hall urged the crowd, who willingly obliged. Excelsior High School started their routine on a high note, but failed to maintain the energy. next was Black Dice who had the best costume of the night. Dressed in their ninja suits, they put on a comedic show, but the judges were less than impressed. They made way for Futuristic Dancers who could only muster up five each from both judges. The Nuclear Skankaz was the last group. an amazing performance was delivered although they were not synchronised. The judges agreed that they needed work but both awarded them a score of eight each. The night ended with performances from Berry, Razor B and Patexxx.
