Frassman creating waves with 'Pop Off'

Dancehall deejay Frassman makes a bold statement with his latest single 'Pop Off'. The autobiographical track was produced by Bridgeport, Connecticut-based Track Star and released on the TSMG label.

"Pop Off is just me expressing changes in my life. It's about me getting rid of all the fake people around me in my musical and personal life," Frassman said in a media release.

Pop Off is the follow up to Frassman's 2014 hit, Dat Nuh Hard Fi Do. He is confident the new single will be just as successful.

"The response and feedback has been overwhelming. Almost every radio station in Jamaica is playing the song. Here in Connecticut, as well as in New York and underground stations in the UK, the support has been very good," Frassman said.

The Connecticut-based deejay, who migrated from Jamaica 10 years ago, recently completed the music video for the track Gangster Prayer. It was shot in Hartford, Connecticut, directed by Kieno Johnson and NS Music Enterprise LLC. A video for Pop Off is in the planning stages.

New mixtape

Aside from working on new tracks with the likes of Dubtonic Kru among others, Frassman is getting ready to release a new mix-tape.

Among his most recent releases are Mr Law, featuring Dubtonic Kru; the soca-infused Push Back, Party Animal, Stamina, and Mama Papa Love, featuring Spice.
