Update: Two alleged swindlers hauled before the court

UPDATE: "Shari Rattigan was found not guilty of fraud related charges when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on October 12, 2016. The prosecution offered no evidence against Rattigan and she was discharged by judge Vaughn Smith.


Two men and a woman were hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday for allegedly swindling millions of dollars from their employer, a popular hotel in New Kingston.

Charged with conspiracy to defraud, attempting to obtain money by false pretence, simple larceny and money laundering are Shari Rattigan, Shawn Edwards and Rolando Davis, who had their bails extended in court.

The Crown is alleging that between January and November 2014, the accused, in their capacity as front desk agents funnelled money from the hotel to their personal bank accounts.

The case is to return to court on April 14 as statements in the matter are outstanding.
