No ease up, says Arnett's Waite |

Jerome Waite Shayne Fairman, STAR Writer Jerome Waite, the seasoned Arnett Gardens FC tactician, is enjoying the comfortable eight-point lead and title-favourites tag, and maintains the Junglists will not get complacent, but will go all-out to win their fourth Red Stripe Premier League title. "Lifting this RSPL title is the objective, we will be going all out," coach Waite underlined. "Complacency wouldn't be a factor for us now, we just have to ensure we keep players healthy, disciplined and giving their all every game," he told STAR Sports after Sunday's 3-0 demolition of lowly Barbican With Arnett sitting comfortably in the driver's seat, all eyes are set on the eight remaining rounds to see if the Trench Town-based outfit can land their first win in 13 seasons. This Arnett team established a national record recently with 10 straight victories at the top flight level, but has shown recently that it too can be vulnerable. They have lost six times so far this season, while scoring 42 goals and conceding 26, which is the second highest amount let in by the top five teams. "The objective of my team is to score goals and once we score we will always be strong. I am happy with their performances so far," he assessed, while praising their defence for keeping clean sheets in their last two matches. The team lost experienced central defender Anthowe Dawkins on Sunday. He went off the field with a dislocated shoulder. Injuries are a worry at this crunch time of the season, but Waite's Arnett just might have enough depth, experience and motivation to go all the way.
