Cop robbed of pistol, jewellery

The armed robbers who held up and robbed an off-duty policeman at gunpoint on Sunday of his pistol and jewellery are reportedly being sought by the police.

According to head of the Kingston Central police, Superintendent Michael Scott, the policeman was at a wholesale along Duke Street, Kingston, when the incident transpired.

During the incident, which reportedly took place after 12 p.m., the three men entered the establishment and held up the policeman, relieving him of the items before they escaped.

The policeman is not from the Kingston Central Police Division.
