Star Tell Me Pastor

I don't know my baby's father

Dear Pastor,

I am 21 and I have a son. He is six months old. I don't know who the father is, but that is not why I am writing you. Someone else has taken over the role of my child's father. You might wonder how I don't know who got me pregnant. Well, Pastor, some of my friends and I went out and we were drinking and dancing and things got wild. I got drunk. When I woke up the following morning, I was home with the other girls. None of us had any idea of what happened that night.

I was not wearing any underwear when I woke up. When I missed my period and went to the doctor, I realised that I was pregnant. I confessed everything to my boyfriend and he told me to get rid of it. I went to see my mother and I told her the truth and she told me to keep the child. I did everything that was bad to have a miscarriage, but it didn't happen, so I settled down and had my child.

My boyfriend eventually forgave me and is now helping me with the baby. Lots of people think that it is his child. Sometimes, he takes the baby in his car for a drive. I still can't forgive myself for getting drunk. I blacked out. The last thing I remember is that I was on the dance floor with a guy. I didn't know his name. I could not even see his face because of the lights at the party.

How we got home that night, nobody knows. There is more to it than I am telling you, but I can't put everything in the paper. One day, I will come to see you.

Pastor, would you bless my baby for me?

R.C.

Dear R.C.,

I am glad that you did not terminate your pregnancy and I am also very pleased that your boyfriend has forgiven you for what you did and is helping you to support your child. He has accepted this child as his own. Anything can happen to a girl when she becomes drunk. Some girls, when under the influence of alcohol, lose control of themselves. Some take off every piece of clothing whether they are at a party or other functions and liquor is served. Some girls curse expletives and divulge in things that ordinarily they would never do or say. It is unfortunate that some men take advantage of that situation. When girls are going out together, all should not drink, and they should protect each other.

I would be delighted to bless your baby. Call my office and make the arrangement with my assistant. My numbers are listed.

Pastor
