WOMAN STABBED IN EYE WITH SCISSORS |

A fight between two women along Princess Street in Kingston resulted in one being fined yesterday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court, while the other continues to nurse a wound to the eye. Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Sushanna Roberts, who pleaded guilty to the offence. The court was told that Roberts used a scissors to stab the complainant in the left eye. Roberts told the court that she and the complainant had an argument inside a wholesale which later turned physical. "I didn't mean to do it", said Roberts to Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey. She was fined $8,000 or six months imprisonment for her actions. A fingerprint order was also made. |
