Reggae singer Ikaine was involved in a serious car accident Wednesday in St Elizabeth while heading to Kingston after a video shoot.

Ikaine, Leighton Campbell, was knocked unconscious during the accident while two other passengers suffered multiple fractures and facial injuries. Kushites, the artiste's manager, was driving the car at the time of the accident.

"Mi just happy to be alive, yu know is a battlefield ting, this cannot stop me. Right now, my neck is in a cast, and I have a head injury, but ah just the battlefield. The car flip over about three times. The promoter from Colorado travelling with us had his ribs broken, the film producer shooting the video is also shaken up, and my manager's elbow swell up," he said.

Ikaine had performed at theTrench Town Rock Concert in Boys' Town on Sunday.
