Snow returns to Jamaica

International recording artiste Snow arrived in Jamaica earlier this week and was greeted at the airport by long-time friend and fellow recording artiste Ninja Man.

After a whirlwind ride from the airport with Ninja Man showing off his 'gangsta' driving moves, Snow has been doing a number of media interviews promoting his latest single, Shame, featuring reggae legend Mykal Rose. the song is produced by Florida-based Kent Jones and Kool & Dre.

"It is a song really about where I have been in my life, emotionally. I have been far away and I am kinda ashamed that I have been away so long," Snow said.

Snow (given name Darrin O'Brien) came to prominence in 1993 after releasing his debut album, 12 Inches Of Snow which contained the mega-hit Informer, which spent seven weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

His other hits include Girl I've Been Hurt, Si We Dem No Kno We and Anything For You, a collaboration with Nadine Sutherland, Buju Banton, Terror Fabulous, Beenie Man, Louie Culture and Kulcha Knox.

"I sing for the people. that is what I missed most about Jamaica, the people are great," he said.
