Denyque to host Barber and Beauty Expo

Upcoming singer Denyque will be the host of the first ever JN Small Business Loans Barber and Beauty Expo to be held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Sunday.

The JN Barber and Beauty Challenge and Expo emerged from a suggestion by JNBS general manager, Earl Jarrett, who said that during a conversation with a barber, it was suggested that barbers and hairdressers needed an opportunity to showcase their craft.

Research on the industry supports this view and has also shown that many barbers and hairdressers are unaware of the opportunities that exist, such as JN small business loans, to expand their businesses.

And Denyque is looking forward to being the host of the expo.

"I've been attending JN events for awhile now, and I have always loved the vibe that is brought to the events. When I was asked, I did not hesitate to say yes," she said.

Although it will be her first time hosting an event of this nature, the singer is looking forward to the challenge.

"Seeing that there will be a barber and beauty competition on the day as well, I will be bringing some enthusiasm to make the event and day as lively as possible. I just want the people who are attending to enjoy themselves," she said.

Chairman of the Barber and Beauty Expo Planning Committee, Jason McNeish said the event has been tailored for persons who want to learn about the barber and beauty industry as well as those who work in the sector.

"Feel free to come out and cheer on your favorite barber and hairdresser," he said, adding that DJ Cyrus from Fame FM will provide the music.
