Humble Lion clip Arnett 2-1

Ten-man Humble Lion claimed their seventh victory in their last eight Red Stripe Premier League matches after carving out a 2-1 win over leaders Arnett Gardens at the Effortville Community Centre on Monday night.

Captain Jermaine Christian opened the scoring in the 30th minute and Devon Hodges doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half. Andrew Vanzie was sent off in the 32nd minute.

Former Charlie Smith High striker, Marcelino Blackburn, got a consolation goal in stoppage time for Arnett Gardens, who were losing for the first time since November 24.

Humble Lion are fifth on 32 points, the same as sixth-placed Rivoli United and Tivoli Gardens in seventh.

The Jerome Waite-coached Arnett are still on top of the table with 45 points, four ahead of Waterhouse. Montego Bay United are third (36) and Harbour View, fourth on 34.
