Tenza delivers in Scotland

File - Tenza

Gold-selling reggae/pop artiste Tenza recently returned from Scotland, where she performed at several events under heavy snow.

Despite the inclement weather, supporters of reggae music still came out to the events, waving Rastafarian banners and chanting the lyrics to popular singles.

Overseas-based sound system Baseline Warrior Sound kept the venues active until showtime with classic reggae hits. However, Tenza, who recently performed in Africa, had the audiences eating from her hands as she delivered each single.

The artiste made her entrance to one of the events deejaying on the classic dancehall 'Stage Time' rhythm popularised by Elephant Man and Beenie Man, among others. She then performed singles like Light Up The Herbs, Greetings and Grab A Man. She also received favourable responses for singles Jah Nuh Ready Fi Mi, Blood Shed and African Empress, before exiting the stage with Good Morning Jah.

Tenza recently released her mixtape, Jah Mission. The effort is available for free download on her official website, www.TenzaMusic.com. The singjay is getting ready to release the follow-up single to African Empress, and is expected to perform mid-February in Slough, before venturing into Europe for several shows.

The overseas-based Jamaica-born singer sold more than 500,000 copies of the single Too Hot as a member the electric trio Fya, formerly signed to internationally renowned record label Def Jam.
