Orisha Sound, Sizzla drop "Embrace It" remix

Black & Yellow Entertainment recording artiste Orisha Sound recently collaborated with dancehall star Sizzla Kalonji to create the video for the remix of their 2013 hit single, 'Embrace It'.

"The original version of Embrace It was very successful. Even now, it is still being played on the radio in Jamaica and other territories like Africa and Europe. In 2013, we were robbed in Kingston the day before the video shoot for the original version of Embrace It. Shell-K was shot and seriously injured, he had to undergo surgery and spent several days in hospital, but he made sure the project was done successfully. This remix is dedicated to our team and everyone who supported us throughout that whole ordeal," said Orisha.

The video for the uptempo remix, which fuses EDM with dancehall, features Orisha and her dancers dressed in denim outfits, wearing red, green and yellow Bobo Shanti turbans, showing off choreographed dance moves.

The video was shot in Port Royal, Kingston, and King David's Restaurant in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, under the direction of Shell-K and Winston Price.

"We really spent a lot of time preparing for the production of this video. A special choreography was created and my dancers and I spent months in rehearsals. Our outfits were specially designed to highlight certain elements of the Rastafarian culture. The video is very energetic and colourful," said the artiste.

The video was released in January and has already garnered thousands of views and comments on YouTube.

The remixed version of Embrace it was produced by Shell-K & Russian EDM DJ Rayan Otter.
