![]() Jamaican international recording artiste Omi has struck four times platinum with the remix of his song Cheerleader, by German music producer Felix Jaehn. The song was certified four times platinum on the Swedish national record chart Sverigetopplistan recently. The artiste and his management team are elated about the tremendous success of the record, especially at the beginning of the 2015. "I have the greatest team and fans ever," Omi said. Cheerleader is currently at the top of the ARIA Singles chart, and is the first entry of the year 2015. Omi becomes only the fourth Jamaican artiste to claim a number one single in Australia, now rubbing shoulders with Carl Douglas with Kung Fu Fighting (1974), Boris Gardiner with I Wanna Wake Up With You (1987) and Shaggy, who landed two chart topping singles with Boombastic, (1996) and in (2001) with It Wasn't Me. Omi is recognised locally and internationally for the catchy song. He is managed by renowned Jamaican music producer, Clifton 'Specialist' Dillon, CEO of Oufah Media and Production. Omi has also released other popular records like Fireworks, Standing On All Threes and Colour Of My Lips, featuring Busy Signal. |
