The final round of matches in round two of the Red Stripe Premier League has served up a delicious bottom-of-the-table clash between this season's two promoted teams, Barbican and Reno, at Barbican Sports Complex tomorrow at 3 p.m.

Barbican sits at the foot of the table on 19 points, one ahead of Reno in 11th place, but both teams are undergoing a mini resurgence after both clubs had coaching changes a little more than a month ago.

After winning the Flow Cup in November, Reno went nine games without a win, with one draw. However, since appointing Downswell as head coach, the team has progressed.

They lost their first two matches under Downswell, but secured their first win in 10 matches when they beat Boys' Town 1-0 two weeks ago.

Since then, the Westmoreland club has not lost, sharing the points in their last two outings.

Downswell is confident that they have now sorted out their defensive issue and says the work now is to improve their offensive game.

Good match

Reno is yet to beat Barbican in three meetings. Barbican won one and drew one during their battle for promotion. they won their lone top-flight game 1-0 in November, but Downswell said they are hell-bent on beating them.

"When two teams are promoted, it is always a good match-up between those teams. We have had three assignments against them, and we have not beaten them, and we are hell-bent to try turn this around," Downswell said.

In another interesting lower half-of-the-table match, ninth-place Boys' Town (23) take on eighth-place Cavalier (24) at 5 p.m. at Stadium East.

Boys' Town have struggled against relegation from the start of the season. A win for the Andrew Price-coached team could lift them, but a defeat for early league leaders Cavalier could pull them more into the relegation dogfight.

In other games, Montego Bay entertain Tivoli at Wespow Park, Waterhouse travel to Brancourt to face Sporting Central, Harbour View play away to Rivoli at Prison Oval, all starting at 3 p.m. game.

In the Monday-night game at Effortville Community Centre, host and fifth-place Humble Lion (29) take on leaders Arnett Gardens (45).
