INDECOM probes shooting of mentally challenged male |

![]() The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched a probe into an incident which resulted in the shooting of a mentally challenged man in Manchester. The man is being treated at the Mandeville Hospital after he allegedly attacked a police constable on Saturday evening. It is alleged that the man attacked the lawman with a knife just outside the Super Plus Centre in Mandeville, as he patrolled a section of the town on foot. The police constable escaped injury, but the mentally challenged man was shot during efforts to restrain him.
