6-month-old baby drowns in bucket

Cops take mom into custody

The police have in custody the mother of a six-month-old baby girl whose body was found in a bucket of water.

It is revealed that the woman left her child at home in Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine.

When she returned home she did not see the infant on the bed. The child's body was then taken from a bucket of water near the bed.

An alarm was raised and curious onlookers gathered.

A subsequent report was made to the Caymanas police. The police launched an investigation which resulted in the mother being taken into custody. It was revealed that investigations are at an advanced stage.
