Lotto promotes $200m jackpot

The streets of Kingston were beaming with excitement recently as a marching band equipped with dancers celebrated the $200m Lotto jackpot advertised for last Saturday.

The Lotto Marching Band started from Manor Park and marched down to Constant Spring Road and Mary Brown's Corner. The band then went on to perform throughout Half-Way Tree and Cross Roads, much to the delight of the many onlookers who enjoyed the fast-paced musical excitement and vibrancy of the festivities.

Security guard Tracy Jackson was happy to watch the marching band, and listed her lotto victory wishes:

"I really want to win the Lotto jackpot. With all of that money, I would buy a big house, two cars, and a bus fi put pon di road," stated Jackson.

Similar sentiments of helping others if they won the lotto were stated by many of the commuters in the Half-Way Tree vicinity. Dee Lawrence, a fitness instructor for over 20 years, had big plans if she won the lotto.

"I would do plenty tings if I hit the Lotto jackpot. I would build my house, buy myself a nice car, and stop working. I would help a lot of people if I won the lotto, especially my nieces and nephews. Winning the lotto would really be a nice ting man," Lawrence shared.

Sonia Davidson, SVL's vice- president of Group Corporate Communications, expressed the company's excitement towards the growing Lotto jackpot:

" Lotto paid out over $545 million in 2014 and is off to a bang this year!"

The draws for the Lotto game are aired twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:25 p.m. ... on Television Jamaica (TVJ) and IRIE FM.
