Singers Etana and Sophia Brown attended a recent autograph session arranged by major sponsor of Rebel Salute 2014, Flow.

The artistes signed more than 100 autographs at the Flow store in Pavilion last Thursday as a precursor to the company's first-ever sponsorship of the reggae-music festival.

The in-store activity was a special surprise to Flow customers who were excited to receive an autographed photo of the artistes and take pictures.

"Flow is happy to be associated with Rebel Salute 2015. It represents, for us, an association with an authentic Jamaican music festival. We are a company committed to Jamaica, its people and culture, so we wanted to partner. To ensure our customers were part of the excitement leading up to the event, the team decided that we would host the autograph-signing session. Etana is one of those singers who people always want to meet and so we simply gave the people what they want. Sophia is performing for the first time on Rebel Salute and we thought it would be good to have her be part of this event," said Naomi Francis, corporate communications manager at Flow.

The autograph-signing was held mid-afternoon, and scores of people, on hearing that the artistes were at the store, stopped by just for an autograph.

"The great thing about this autograph-signing session is that our customers got up close with the artiste, but also several persons who were in the vicinity wanted to get their personalised autographed photo from the artistes so they came rushing in," said Francis.

Going forward, Francis said Flow intends to add something special to events it sponsors. She said customers and fans got something special with the company's involvement in Rebel Salute. Flow is also sponsoring the Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival later this month.
